What happens if my order is damaged?
Please reply to your confirmation email and attach a photo of the damage. Just let us know what happened and we will work on getting a replacement out to you immediately.
Should I use the All Purpose or the Bread?
It really depends on what you want to bake! All Purpose is great for items that require a lower protein or less strength in the dough while our 100% Certified Organic Bread Flour is great for breads and some items that need a bit more strength or “bite” like pizza.
What is malt? What does it do to the flour? Is it organic?
Malt is malted barley flour. Our malted barley is made from 100% Certified Organic Barley and is carefully monitored so it can be added in the right quantity for each batch. Malt is added in a tiny percentage (<5%) to some flours to increase enzymatic activity. This can allow the yeast to access more available sugar which allows a loaf of bread to proof more quickly and can offer a more stable proofing window when the bread is “ready to be loaded into the oven.” If you’ve ever purchased flour from the grocery store, it’s likely been malted as this often makes it easier to work with for most bakers.
Is this flour enriched?
No, we do not enrich, bleach, or bromate any of our 100% Certified Organic flours. No folic acid is added to these products.
Can I mix these products?
Absolutely! These two products together can make an awesome blend that is a bit softer than the bread flour, but will work well for almost any application.
